This Valentine’s month, we invite the Stellenbosch community to help us make our patients feel extra special.
Ways You Can Spread Love and Joy
1. Donate Sweet Treats and Chocolates
There’s nothing like a little chocolate to brighten a day. Donations of sweet treats or chocolates can be dropped off at the East Wing, Stellenbosch Hospital, on Merriman Avenue, to bring smiles to our patients.
2. Send Cards or Messages of Love
A heartfelt note can make a world of difference. Cards, letters, or even drawings can be distributed to patients, letting them know that someone is thinking of them this Valentine’s month.
3. Volunteer Your Time
Acts of kindness don’t always need to cost a thing. Spend time with our patients – play games, read together, or simply enjoy a conversation. Even small gestures like helping with personal care, painting nails, or doing hair can uplift spirits and show that someone cares.
4. Brighten Our Spaces
Help decorate our halls or patient rooms to create a festive Valentine’s atmosphere. Simple decorations, flowers, or balloons can transform our hospice environment and bring warmth and joy to everyone who visits.
